Operations Control
Operations control involves the day to day control of the actual driver and vehicle. Each type of vehicle operation or distribution will require different types of controls.

1Control methods need to be developed for specific situations. The problem of over controlling being counter productive must be kept in mind.

The following matters will need attention in developing operational procedures:

a) Vehicle cleaning routines
b) Basic maintenance checks
c) Basic vehicle check routines
d) Daily driver checks /reports (oil, fuel, water, tyres, etc)
e) Logbook control by job /driver (basic utilisation input)
f) Driver/ Vehicle responsibilities
g) Driver standards and vehicle related responsibilities
h) Control procedures for pool vehicles
i) Breakdown procedures
j) Accident procedures
k) Refueling responsibilities / procedures
l) Maintenance control /procedures
